Reposition the suction tube at the bottom of the paint pail. * The inlet valve check ball is stuck. Remove the tube and insert the end of a pencil into the inlet section to dislodge the ball. Alternatively, press the pump priming button. * The outlet valve check ball is stuck. Unscrew the outlet valve, then remove and clean the assembly. * The suction tube is leaking. Natasha RodgersAug 27, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer pump isn't cycling, first ensure the pressure isn't set to minimum by turning the pressure control knob to increase it. Check that the electrical outlet is providing power by testing it with another working device, and reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if necessary. Why does my Graco Magnum Pro Plus A45 Paint Sprayer building circuit breaker opens?
    • C
      Casey WilliamsSep 22, 2025
If the building circuit breaker opens after the Graco Paint Sprayer operates for 5-10 minutes, or as soon as the sprayer is plugged in and turned on, it could be due to: * Too many appliances plugged in on the same circuit. Unplug some appliances or use a less busy circuit. * The extension cord is damaged, too long, or not a heavy enough gauge. Test the extension cord by plugging in a working device and replace the extension cord if necessary. * The sprayer's electrical cord is damaged. Check for broken insulation or wires and replace the damaged electrical cord.

Why Graco Magnum Pro Plus A45 Paint Sprayer motor is hot and runs intermittently?
    • F
      freemanashleySep 18, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer motor is hot and runs intermittently, it indicates a Thermal Overload condition, where the motor automatically shuts off due to excessive heat. This can be caused by: * Clogged vent holes in the shroud or the sprayer being covered. Clear the vent holes. * Using an extension cord that's too long or not heavy enough gauge. * Using an unregulated electrical generator with excessive voltage. Use an electrical generator with a proper voltage regulator; the sprayer requires 220-240 VAC 50/60 Hz. * Operating the sprayer at high pressure with a small tip, causing frequent motor starts and excessive heat build-up. Decrease the pressure setting or increase the tip size, and move the sprayer to a cooler location.
