Why won't my Graco Magnum True Airless X7 Paint Sprayer motor run?
    • M
      Matthew EdwardsAug 20, 2025
If the Graco Paint Sprayer motor isn't running, first ensure the pressure control isn't set at zero; turn the pressure control knob clockwise to increase the pressure setting. Also, verify the electric outlet is providing power by testing it with a known working device and reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse if needed. Check the sprayer and any extension cords for damage, replacing them if necessary. Lastly, a seized pump could be the culprit, especially if paint has hardened or water has frozen inside. If frozen, thaw completely before use. If paint has hardened, and removing the pump doesn't allow the motor to turn, consult an authorized service center.

What to do if Graco Magnum True Airless X7 Paint Sprayer pump does not prime?
    • D
      David StevensAug 22, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer runs but doesn't prime, ensure the Prime/Spray Valve is in the PRIME position until paint exits the Drain Tube. Check for clogs in the inlet screen and ensure the Suction Tube is fully immersed in paint. For X5/X7 models, try pressing the PushPrime button twice to loosen the inlet valve. Inspect the Suction Tube connection for leaks. Straining the paint may also help remove any debris causing obstructions.

How to fix poor spray pattern on Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • L
      lmccartyAug 30, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer is primed but the spray pattern is poor, start by addressing the most common issues. Ensure the Reversible Spray Tip is in the SPRAY position. Clean or replace the spray gun filter if it's clogged. If the pressure is too low, adjust it accordingly. Also, make sure the inlet screen is clean, and the suction tube is fully immersed in paint. If these steps don't work, consider whether the material is too thick and needs thinning. Replacing a worn spray tip gasket and seal, or using a shorter airless hose may also improve your spray pattern.

How to fix Graco Paint Sprayer with good prime but poor spray?
    • G
      Gerald SchneiderAug 31, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer is primed but not spraying well, the spray tip may be partially clogged. Clear the clog. Ensure the reversible spray tip is in the SPRAY position. Also, the paint may have debris; strain it. Check if the pressure is set too low and adjust the pressure control knob. Clean or replace the InstaClean fluid filter (ProX only) or the spray gun filter if clogged. The spray tip may be too large or worn, so replace it. Also, the inlet strainer could be clogged or the suction tube may not be immersed in paint; clean the strainer and immerse the tube.

    • O
      oosborneSep 6, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer motor is overheating and running intermittently, check that the vent holes are clear of obstructions and overspray, ensuring the sprayer is open to air. Replace any extension cord that is too long or not heavy enough gauge. If you're using an electrical generator, make sure it has a proper voltage regulator.
