Voltage tests
are performed
with a voltmeter
or test light to
battery ground.
Key switch in the
'RUN' position,
but
engine is
not running
.
Does voltage
appear from
terminal 'E' of
PTO fuse to
ground (figure
39)?
Key switch or
wiring from key
switch to PTO
fuse is defective.
Does voltage
appear from
terminal 'F' of
PTO fuse to
ground?
Replace PTO
fuse.
Does voltage
appear from
brown wire at
PTO clutch plug
to ground?
Replace PTO
switch.
Does green wire
of PTO clutch
show ground?
Test ground
connections on
clutch.
No
Test PTO clutch
and terminals.
Verify air gap of
.012" on electric
clutch. (see
owner's manual.)
Test clutch by
reading ohm's
across clutch
plug (plug
disconnected).
Resistance
should measure
approximately
2.3 to 2.7 ohms.
