  To adjust the parking brake on your Grasshopper Lawn Mower, follow these steps: 1. Individually disconnect the right brake linkage rod. 2. Adjust the linkage pin on the left brake until it requires 14 lbs of pull at the hand lever's top to engage the parking brake. Adjust the brake linkage rod if needed. 3. Connect the right brake linkage. 4. Disconnect the left brake linkage rod and adjust the linkage pin on the right brake until 14 lbs of pull are needed at the hand lever to apply the parking brake. 5. Connect the left brake linkage. With both connected, it should take 28 lbs of pull to apply the brake. Adjust the brake linkage rod as necessary.

  To adjust the neutral on your Grasshopper Lawn Mower: 1. Elevate the tractor frame, ensuring both drive wheels are off the ground, and release the parking brake. 2. Detach the linkage rod from the transmission control arm. 3. Position the steering levers in the neutral swing-out. 4. Start the engine; if either drive wheel turns, proceed with the adjustment by loosening the locking nut and rotating the pivot bolt until neutral is achieved. Tighten the locking nut. 5. Repeat for the other side transmission. 6. Reinstall the linkage rod in the control arm, adjusting the rod's length if needed to ensure it slides into the control arm without moving it, maintaining the neutral adjustment. 7. Test drive the machine to ensure straight-line travel with both levers fully forward. If it devi...
