To adjust the parking brake on your Grasshopper Lawn Mower, follow these steps: 1. Individually disconnect the right brake linkage rod. 2. Adjust the linkage pin on the left brake until it requires 14 lbs of pull at the hand lever's top to engage the parking brake. Adjust the brake linkage rod if needed. 3. Connect the right brake linkage. 4. Disconnect the left brake linkage rod and adjust the linkage pin on the right brake until 14 lbs of pull are needed at the hand lever to apply the parking brake. 5. Connect the left brake linkage. With both connected, it should take 28 lbs of pull to apply the brake. Adjust the brake linkage rod as necessary.
