Introduction

Control Panel Overview

Ignition Switch

The main on/off power switch. Ensure it is off before dismounting to prevent accidental acceleration.

Power LED (Green)

Indicates that the ignition is switched on and power is connected to the vehicle.

Battery Charge Indicator

A series of LEDs showing the battery charge level, moving from right to left as charge depletes.

Forward; Reverse LED (Red)

Indicates when the reverse mode is selected, operating in conjunction with a warning horn.

Forward; Reverse Switch

A rocker switch to select between forward and reverse modes.

Speed Control Adjustment

A twist grip control to adjust speed from 2 mph up to a maximum of 8 mph.

Driving the Vehicle

Driving Position and Controls

Sit comfortably, place feet on the tray, hands on handlebars, and adjust steering column for comfort.

Starting the Vehicle

Insert key, turn 90 degrees clockwise to connect power, and check indicator lights.

Accelerator Operation

Use the twist grip to control speed. Turn towards you to accelerate, release to slow down/stop.

Braking System

Regenerative Braking

Motor provides reverse pull effect when accelerator is released, slowing the vehicle.

Electromagnetic Parking Brake

Charging Recommendations

First charge for 24 hours. Subsequent charges max 5 hours. Avoid leaving charger connected when fully charged.

Load assembled buggy into large vehicles using ramps, or dismantle into parts for smaller car boots.

Requires a 13mm spanner to undo battery terminals for dismantling into manageable parts.

How to Dismantle the Buggy

Removing the Seat

Loosen seat locking bolt using a ratchet system on the seat stem to remove the seat.

Removing Battery Cover and Batteries

Release spring clips to remove cover, then unscrew terminal nuts to lift batteries out.

Disconnecting Power Plug

Locate and disconnect power plug from rear of buggy, noting two types: pull-away or twist-lock.

Separating the Chassis

Pull spring-loaded plunger in center to separate front and rear chassis sections.

How to Assemble the Buggy

Assembling the Chassis

Ensure halves are square, slide draw bar into slot, and align spring plunger into retaining hole.

Connecting Power Plug

Re-connect the power plug that connects the front and rear sections of the buggy.

Replacing Batteries

Place batteries into chassis, ensuring terminals face correctly for model type (center or rear).

Ensuring Brakes are Engaged

If brakes were released, ensure locking levers are returned fully counter-clockwise.

Replacing Seat and Cover

Replace battery cover, click spring clips, then align seat stem and re-fasten locking bolt.

Home Maintenance Guidelines

Bodywork Cleaning

Wash with sponge and car shampoo. Clean regularly with general purpose spray; avoid power jet wash.

Tyre Pressure

Maintain 29 psi (170 kPa). Can be lowered to 20 psi (147 kPa) on hard ground for comfort.

Seat and Plug Maintenance

Keep seat clean from dirt and grit. Ensure electrical plugs are clean, dry, and fully home.

Troubleshooting Guide

No Power Indication

Check front-to-rear connector, battery connections, ignition, battery charge, and secure connections.

Charger Red LED Only

Check mains connection, socket plug, charger fuse, and connector between socket and controller.

Further Troubleshooting

Battery Indicator Low

Ensure front-to-rear connector is dry and fully home; plug in and out multiple times for clean contact.

Loose Steering Column

Tighten handlebar securing bolt after removing front cover and exposing it via the rubber gaiter.
