You will probably find that the standard servo leads are not long enough, in which case you should use the
recommended extension leads which are listed in the main catalogue. The building instructions do not state exact
cable types, as the lengths required may vary according to the location of the receiver and the way you deploy
the cable looms in the fuselage. A better solution is our Magic-Box, Order No. 3162, as it allows adjustment of
servo travels and neutral point for each servo connected to it (max. 4 servos).
For the functions in the fuselage servo extension leads will be required, between 750 mm, Order No. 3935.75,
and 1050 mm, Order No. 3935.105 (four each). A further servo extension lead, Order No. 3935.11, is needed to
connect each outboard wing servo (2 required: 1 in each wing). We strongly recommend that you incorporate
folding ferrite rings, Order No. 98516 or 98516.1, into the thick cable looms.
If you wish to use servos of other makes please note that they must offer similar levels of torque and holding
power to the types we recommend.
If you are using a jet engine with a rated thrust of more than 8 kg you
must
replace the standard wing
joiner tube with the carbon fibre joiner rod, Order No. 6264.220.
