Note
Instead of using a fuel preservative/stabilizer, you can empty the fuel tank as described
in the equipment manufacturers operators manual.
B. Extended Storage
1. To prevent serious injury from fuel res, empty fuel tank by running engine until it
stops from lack of fuel or empty the fuel tank using a commercially available suction
device designed for use with gasoline.
2. Run the engine while waiting until the remaining fuel is consumed.
WARNING
NEVER leave the engine unattended when it is running and NEVER run engine in
enclosed areas to avoid death or serious injury.
3. Begin servicing the cylinder bore. See “Oil Cylinder Bore” instructions.
Note
If you operate the engine during all four seasons, it is NOT necessary to lubricate the
cylinder bore.

CAUTION
When lubricating cylinder bore, fuel may spray from spark plug hole. To prevent serious
injury from fuel res, follow these instructions:
