What to do if my Gree Dehumidifier does not start?
    • K
      Kevin AndersonAug 7, 2025
If your Gree Dehumidifier doesn't start, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the dehumidifier's plug is completely pushed into the outlet. It may also be that the dehumidifier has reached its preset level, or the bucket is full; in this case, change to a lower setting or empty the bucket and replace it properly. Another reason could be that the bucket is not in the proper position, so make sure it is securely seated. Finally, if there was a recent power failure, there is a protective time delay of up to 3 minutes to prevent tripping the compressor overload, so the unit may not start normal dehumidifying for 3 minutes after being turned back on.

Why is my Gree Dehumidifier not drying the air properly?
    • J
      Joseph MoralesAug 11, 2025
Several factors can cause your Gree Dehumidifier to not dry the air as expected. If you recently installed it, allow at least 24 hours to maintain the desired dryness. Check for airflow restrictions, ensuring no curtains, blinds, or furniture block the front or back of the unit. Also, a dirty filter can reduce performance, so refer to the Care and Cleaning section. The Humidity Control might not be set low enough; for drier air, set it to a lower percent value or CO (continuous) for maximum dehumidification. Ensure all doors, windows, and other openings are securely closed. Position the dehumidifier away from the clothes dryer, and vent the dryer to the outside. Note that moisture removal is best at higher room temperatures, with models designed to operate above 5°C.

Why does my Gree Dehumidifier run too much?
    • A
      Alyssa SanchezAug 16, 2025
If your Gree Dehumidifier runs excessively, it might be due to the area being too large for the unit's capacity. Alternatively, open doors and windows can cause the dehumidifier to work harder. Ensure all doors and windows to the outside are closed.

If you find water on the floor near your Gree Dehumidifier, the hose connection may be loose, so check it. Also, if you intend to use the bucket to collect water, disconnect the hose. Refer to the Removing Collected Water section for details.
