  If your GreenWorks Trimmer doesn't start when you push the trigger, here are a few things to check: * First, ensure there's good electrical contact between the trimmer and the battery pack. Remove the battery, check the contacts, and reinstall it. * Second, the battery pack may be depleted, so charge it. * Finally, make sure you're pulling the lock-out button and the trigger at the same time. Pull and hold the lock-out button, then pull the trigger to start the trimmer.

  If your GreenWorks Trimmer stops while you're cutting, several factors could be at play. It might be that the guard isn't properly attached, so remove the battery pack and attach the guard securely. Using heavy cutting line can also cause this issue; stick to a nylon cutting line with a 0.08" (2 mm) diameter. Grass winding around the motor shaft or trimmer head can also cause the trimmer to stop. Stop the machine, remove the battery pack, and clear away any grass. Overloading the motor is another possibility. Remove the trimmer head from the grass, and the motor should recover. When cutting, move the trimmer head in and out of the grass, removing no more than 8" in a single pass. Also, the battery pack or the machine itself might be overheating; allow them to cool down.
