Congratulaons on your purchase of the Grifco
™
Fire Shuer opener unit. For more than 50 years, we have been
producing industrial mechanical openers that are well known for their proven reliability & robust design.
The Grifco Controlled Descent Mechanism has been developed to allow the safe emergency closing of re shuers. The system
allows ecient operaon of the shuer during normal circumstances. If a re is detected the linkage connected to the system's
release arm will break, the shuer will then automacally descend to the ground under its own weight. The shuer lowers
safely since its speed is limited by the controlled descent mechanism. This system eliminates the danger associated with a free-
falling shuer.
IMPORTANT:
The 58017FFR-480 and 59017FFL-480 must use the GLMe2N-480 (or GLMe2N-480-MCB) as a controller.
The standard Reversing Starter is NOT compable with the 480V variaon opener.
