Branch-circuit protection for MLE Model J
When the pump is protected by a circuit breaker, the circuit breaker must be rated for a minimum voltage of 500
V. The circuit breaker must be of the inverse-time type.
Branch circuit short-circuit protection
For the USA
Integral solid state short-circuit protection does not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit protection
must be provided in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any additional local codes, or the
equivalent.
For Canada
INTEGRAL SOLID STATE SHORT-CIRCUIT PROTECTION DOES NOT PROVIDE BRANCH CIRCUIT
PROTECTION. BRANCH CIRCUIT PROTECTION MUST BE PROVIDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE, PART I.
