The Grundfos IMpress Pressurisation Sets are designed for the pressurisation of sealed heating and chilled water systems. The range includes Basic, Advanced, Glycol, and H/C (Hot/Cold) units, all designed to be compact, reliable, and simple to use, providing many years of efficient and effective service.
Function Description:
The primary function of the IMpress units is to maintain the required pressure within sealed heating and chilled water systems. This is achieved through integrated pumps that activate when the system pressure drops below a set differential, and deactivate once the set pressure is reached. The units are equipped with a microprocessor controller that manages pump operation, monitors system parameters, and provides diagnostic information.
The IMpress Advanced, Glycol, and H/C models offer enhanced features, including expanded cable entry facilities for additional alarm, BMS/Telemetry, and communications features. The Glycol version is specifically designed for systems using glycol, indicated by a snowflake decal on the control panel and additional M16 cable glands. The H/C (Twin) version is designed for systems with both hot and cold circuits, featuring a two-colour control panel decal (red & blue) and two transducer cables, one for each circuit. Both transducers must be connected for the H/C unit to operate correctly, otherwise, a system failure condition will occur.
