(C) Through Axle Type
For shipping, the through axle will be threaded into the fork dropouts or be in the small parts box. Pick
up the through axle and note the orientation of the two ends. One end is threaded, it will thread into a
female threaded hole in the right dropout. One end is made to be turned with an allen wrench or has a
built-in lever to turn it.
