SECTION 8 TROUBLESHOOTING
8.1 Introduction
Correcting problem conditions with the DR/800 Series
Colorimeters in the field is limited to responding to the error
messages presented in the display. Other problems must be
handled by a Hach technician at a service center. Refer to REPAIR
SERVICE. Do not attempt to service anything other than the
battery; there are no other field-serviceable parts. Opening the
instrument case will void the warranty.
8.1.1 Error Codes
This feature identifies the problem area or areas when an error
indication occurs during instrument operation. When an error
occurs,
ERROR displays on the screen, followed by a number
which refers to a diagnostic error code. Refer to Table 6 below to
determine the error cause and possible corrective actions. Turn
the instrument off, then on, to restore the instrument to operation.
