Set the “Staircase timer function ?” parameter in the “Groups - [x] group name – Staircase timer
function" parameter node to “Yes”.
The Staircase timer function is now enabled. Other parameters will become visible.

Configure the required switch-on time of the Staircase timer function with the “Staircase lighting time”
parameter.

Set the "Staircase lighting time retriggerable ?" parameter to "Yes".
Any ON-telegram received during the ON-phase of the staircase lighting time will retrigger the
staircase lighting time completely.

Alternatively, set the "Staircase lighting time retriggerable ?" parameter to "No".
ON-telegrams received during the ON-phase of the staircase lighting time will be discarded. The
staircase lighting time will not be retriggered.
• An ON-telegram received during the pre-warning time will always retrigger the staircase lighting time
independent of the "Staircase lighting time retriggerable ?" parameter.
Defining the switch-off behaviour of the Staircase timer function
In a Staircase timer function, the reaction to an OFF-telegram to the "Staircase timer start / stop" object
can also be parameterized. Without an OFF-telegram, the devices of the DALI group might switch off
after the pre-warning time has elapsed. With a possible pre-warning function, the Staircase timer
function has the switch-off behaviour as shown in Fig. 27.
