Third, if there was a recent power failure, the unit has a protective 3-minute delay to prevent compressor overload. Lastly, the current interrupter device may be tripped; press the RESET button on the power cord plug. If the RESET button doesn't stay engaged, stop using the air conditioner and contact a qualified technician.

  Your Haier Air Conditioner may not be cooling effectively due to several factors. Make sure that curtains, blinds, or furniture aren't blocking the front of the unit, restricting airflow. Also, ensure the temperature control is set appropriately; try turning it to a higher number. A dirty air filter can also reduce cooling performance, so clean it at least every 30 days. If the room was initially very hot, allow sufficient time for it to cool down. Check for open furnace registers and cold air returns that may be allowing cold air to escape. Finally, inspect the cooling coils for ice buildup; if present, refer to the section on 'Air conditioner freezing up'.
