Also, verify the line wire connections to the fan and the switch wire connections in the switch housing, remembering to turn off the main power before checking. Finally, inspect the battery in the transmitter to see if the red LED light comes on, ensure you are within 10-20 feet of the fan, and confirm that the dip switch settings are the same on both the transmitter and receiver, turning off the power supply before checking the dip switch settings in the receiver.

  If your HAMPTON BAY Fan sounds noisy, try the following: * Ensure all motor housing screws are snug. * Check that the screws attaching the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight. * Confirm wire nut connections aren't rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior wall, remembering to turn off the power. * Allow a 24-hour 'breaking in' period, as most new fan noises disappear then. * If using a light kit, tighten the screws securing the glassware and ensure the light bulb is secure. * Make sure the canopy is slightly away from the ceiling, not touching it. * Verify your outlet box is secure and rubber isolator pads are between the mounting bracket and outlet box.
