DESCRIPTION
The charge controller has a joint negative terminal, advanced MPPT control and operating status
display. The MPPT controller controls the solar panels on the basis of the current operating
conditions to the run point where they produce their maximum power. This can increase energy
recovery by up to 20 - 30% in comparison with solar energy systems with pulse width modulation
(PWM).
The system has built-in overcurrent protection for the battery charging circuits as well as the
option to connect external protection via the RS485 port, which makes the system very reliable
and adjustable to dierent installation requirements.
The charge controller has an adaptive three stage charging algorithm based on digital control
circuits, which increases both the life span of the batteries and system performance. The system
also has electronic protection from overcharging, overdischarging and reverse polarisation of
solar panels and batteries, which makes the system very reliable and robust. The charge
controller is ideal for campers, base stations for radio communication, households, monitoring
of eld installations and many other applications.
