Chapter 1 - INTRODUCTION
Remove the instrument from the packing material and examine it carefully to make sure that no
damage has occurred during shipping. If there is any damage, contact your local Hanna Instruments
Office.
Note: Save all packing materials until you are sure that the instrument functions correctly.
Any damaged or defective items must be returned in their original packing material with the
supplied accessories.
MODEL IDENTIFICATION
Meter: There are two models for the meter:
HI9829: Portable multiparameter meter
HI98290: Portable multiparameter meter with GPS
Probe: There are two base models of multiparameter probes:
HI7609829: Standard multiparameter probe
HI7629829: Multiparameter probe with autonomous logging capability
All meters and probes are fully compatible with each other, and all available measurement sensors
can be used on both probe models.
Different combinations of meters, probes, sensors and accessories can be ordered either in
predefined configurations or individually. See Accessories for ordering configurations.
For example, ordering codes of probes follow:
HI7609829/10 is a HI7609829 probe with a 10 meter cable, it comes without sensors or a shield.
HI7629829/10 is a HI7629829 logging probe with a 10 meter cable, it comes without sensors or
a shield.
