• Connect the HI76982910 adapter to the probe and to a USB port on the PC.
• Run the HI929829 application software.
• To access the probe, press the “Probe” button from the toolbar on the top of the screen.
• A Communication Settings window will open. Select the correct COM port and press OK.
Note: The Windows “Device Manager” can be used to verify which COM port number is used
for connecting to the probe. Press START on the Windows
®
task bar and select “Control panel”.
In the Control Panel select “System”, “Hardware”, “Device Manager”, “Ports”. The Ports
menu shows the number of the virtual COM port associated with the HI76982910
USB adapter.
• Once the PC‑Probe connection has been established a new window is displayed with probe
data: status information (software version, SN, Connector Status, Available Parameters, Password
Protection and free memory info) as well as available data lots.
• Select the desired lot and Press the “Download” button to download the data to the PC.
• Press the “GLP Info” button to get the probe GLP info.
