Overview

This document provides assembly instructions for a greenhouse.

Function Description

The greenhouse is designed to provide a controlled environment for growing plants. It offers protection from external weather conditions and helps maintain optimal growing temperatures. The structure is made of aluminum profiles and uses polycarbonate panels for its walls and roof.

  • Fasteners: F1, F2, F4, F6, F8, F9, S9.

Polycarbonate Panel Information:

  • The UV-protected side of the sheet is covered with a transparent film and must face towards the sun.
  • Hexagonal screw installation: Place the screw into the groove, turn clockwise until it stops turning. Adjust by hand and twist so threads fix in place. Place other parts on the screw and assemble the nut. Do not fully-tighten screws until instructed.

Usage Features

  • Assembly Time: This is a multi-part assembly, requiring at least 3-4 hours.
  • Site Selection: Choose a sunny, level position away from overhanging trees.
  • Foundation: If fixing directly to a solid concrete foundation, use the pre-drilled holes in the metal base supplied.
  • Door: The door is hinged on the right-hand side and requires adequate space to open.
  • Window: The window preparation involves assembling the frame and ensuring it is flat and even before tightening all screws.
  • Gutter System: The greenhouse includes a gutter system (parts 25) for water drainage.
  • Safety During Assembly:
    • Use work gloves.
    • Do not assemble in windy or wet conditions.
    • Do not touch overhead power cables with aluminum profiles.
    • Always wear shoes and safety goggles.
    • Dispose of plastic bags safely and keep them out of reach of children.
    • Position and fix the greenhouse on a flat, level surface.
    • Do not lean against or push the greenhouse during construction.
    • Keep children away from the assembly area.
    • Do not position the greenhouse in an area exposed to excessive wind.
    • Do not assemble if tired, under the influence of drugs/alcohol, or prone to dizzy spells.
    • If using a step ladder or power tools, follow manufacturer's safety advice.
    • Do not store hot items (grills, blowtorches) in the wall shed.
    • Ensure no hidden pipes or cables in the ground before inserting pegs.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning: Use a mild detergent solution and rinse with cold, clean water. Do NOT use acetone, abrasive cleaners, or other special detergents on clear panels.
  • Ground Leveling: If the ground is not level, fix it immediately to avoid damage.
  • Weight Prevention: Prevent adding any increased weight to the product.
  • Plant Growth: Avoid vine/climbing plants, fruits, or vegetables from growing on the greenhouse walls, as this can compromise the structure.
  • Structural Integrity: If the structure is compromised (cracked, broken, or collapsed frame), it can cause serious damage.
  • PC Panel Care:
    • Do not use sharp objects on collision films to avoid cuts or scratches.
    • If films rupture, use glue or transparent tape for repair (polyurethane adhesive is also an option).
    • Clean films regularly to maintain light transmittance.
    • The polycarbonate material is flame retardant, but keep it away from fire to prevent softening or deformation.
  • Frame Maintenance:
    • Frames are made of aluminum alloy. Wipe white spots or dirt with a wet cloth (white spots are normal in wet/warm environments).
    • If there is any distortion with calibration, fix it immediately to prevent the skylight from falling. Refer to the manual for repairs.
    • If any connection piece rusts, change screws to ensure the connection part is firm and stable.
  • Weather Protection:
    • Lightning: Do not stay in or under the product during lightning, as the aluminum frame is conductive and can cause serious damage.
    • Wind: If wind reaches 40mph or above, secure the greenhouse walls with defense equipment (strong rope or cable connected to anchors inserted into soil or tied to a nearby tree at least 4 inches in diameter). Remove ropes when wind decreases.
    • Leaves: Clear any leaves from the top of the greenhouse.
    • Snow: Remove snow during snowy months to prevent roof or wall collapse.
