Monthly Cleaning- continued:
Clean the heat exchanger with scraper as shown in igure
5.. Brush or scrape the inside of the stove to remove y ash.
Remove the ash pan and dispose of ashes in an approved
manner, according to local codes.
The exhaust passage may need cleaned as well. eep
in mind the ESP Sensor is located ust inside the exhaust
passage igure 5.7. Be sure not to damage the ESP Sensor
while cleaning this area.
Remove the combustion blower by loosening the wing nuts
(igure 5.5), twisting the combustion blower mount plate
counterclockwise to unlock, and pulling the blower out.
Clean the combustion blower housing and fan blade with a
brush and a vacuum cleaner igure 5..
Note: o not use a household vacuum to clean the stove. We
recommend that you use a shop vacuum that is equipped with
a ne dust lter called a HEPA lter or a vacuum specially
made for y ash and soot. USING A ACUU WHICH IS
NOT EUIPPE WITH A INE UST ILTER WILL BLOW
LY ASH AN SOOT OUT INTO THE ROO.
NOTE: THE STOE UST BE COPLETELY OUT BEORE
YOU ACUU THE STOE. LIE PELLET EBERS, I
SUCE INTO THE ACUU, WILL LIGHT THE ACUU
ON IRE AN AY ULTIATELY CAUSE A HOUSE IRE.
Use a brush to clean the ue, being careful not to damage
the ESP probe igure 5.7.
Reinstall the combustion blower by turning plate clockwise
to lock into place and tightening the wing nuts. Be sure
the fan plate is ush with the exhaust housing on the stove
body and the motor armature points up toward the hopper.
Slide ash pan into the stove and latch the door.
