4. Thread the lap poron of the vehicle’s seat belt
through the red belt base posioning guide on the
SAME SIDE as the seat belt retractor ❸.
5. From BEHIND the child restraint, pass both the lap
and shoulder porons around the rear of the seat and
back through the opening on the opposite side of the
seat ❹ as indicated.
6. Take both porons of the vehicle seat belt and guide
them over the side of the child
restraint ❺.
7. Buckle the vehicle seat belt. Listen
for an audible click”. The vehicle
seat belt MUST NOT be twisted.
8. Gently close the pad on the
backrest which covers the shoulder
poron of the vehicle seat belt.
9. If your vehicle is equipped with
a ELR/ALR switchable seat belt
retractor system, we recommend that you pull out the
full length of the vehicle seat belt (unl you cannot
pull out any more slack). This locks the retractor. If
not equipped with switchable ELR/ALR retractor,
connue with step #10.
10. Tighten vehicle seat belt by
placing your knee on the child
restraint base and by using
your full weight to push the
child restraint down as you
simultaneously release the extra
belt length unl seat belt is
taught and has no slack ❼.
Manually pull out of all of the
slack from the LAP PORTION and then feed the
shoulder poron back into the retractor.
