Keychain Verification
Selecting NETWORK OPTIONS will display SEND PING, INTERFACES, &
KEYCHAIN VERIFICATION.
SEND PING allows for entering an IP address to transmit an Internet Control
Message Protocol (ICMP) echo request packet. The radio will display PING IN
PROGRESS until the ICMP echo response is received or until the operator
presses the CLR button.
A successful ping will display the IP address and the time in milliseconds that it
took for the response packet to be received. If the operator presses the CLR
button, NO RESPONSE is displayed.
KEYCHAIN VERIFICATION causes a calculation that displays a unique
checksum for each keychain. The short title, edition, and segment are used in
calculating the checksum.
