Network Status
SYSTEM CLOCK displays the current date and time in the radio. If the GPS is
tracking satellites, GPS TRACKING will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Pressing ENT will display the UTC OFFSET (Universal Time Coordinated). UTC
Offset allows the operator to adjust the time for the current time zone to match
local time. Here it is a display only, programming is done through the
programming menus.
BATTERY INFORMATION will show the actual DC voltage of the main battery
and a status of HIGH, NOMINAL, LOW, or TOO LOW. If mounted in a VAA it will
display Not Applicable for the voltage and Charging for the Status.
HUB CAPACITY displays a bar graph that represents the approximate HUB life
remaining. When the main battery is disconnected from the radio, the HUB is
used to maintain system time and crypto. The life of the HUB can be extended
by keeping a charged main battery connected. A HUB is good for at least one
year without a main battery attached.
NETWORK STATUS will show the DATA PPP STATE of either Offline or Online.
If Online, there are two more screens; the PPP IP Address and the PPP Peer IP
Address.
