RADIO OPTIONS
There are four items under Radio Options: Radio Silence, RF Faults Persist, PA
Failsafe OVR, Remote KDU.
When RADIO SILENCE is turned ON it prevents the radio from automatically
responding to incoming signals. The R in the upper left of the screen will flash
and KEYLINE IGNORED will be displayed when the PTT button is pressed.
RF FAULTS PERSIST has two settings, ON and MOMENTARY. This allows the
operator to choose between continual or momentary display of RF faults.
PA FAILSAFE OVR allows the operator to override the Power Amplifier Failsafe
that occurs during a temperature fault. The failsafe causes a power cutback to
keep the case below 60 deg Celsius.
REMOTE KDU has two options, ENABLED or DISABLED. A Falcon II KDU may
be used if the firmware is v1.7 or higher. Remote KDU defaults to ENABLED.
However, the Mission Plan files default the Remote KDU to DISABLED.
