TX POWER OPTIONS is used to set the transmit power level. TX POWER
OPTIONS has the same submenu and choices as TX POWER LEVEL in
programming System Presets. However, the radio is still online and can transmit
and receive while in Options.
There are 4 power choices; HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW, & USER.
In VULOS (30 to 511.995 Mhz), SINCGARS, & HAVEQUICK the power settings
are 10, 4, & 1 watts.
SATCOM power settings are 20, 8, & 2 watts.
Mounted in a VAA; 50, 20, & 5 Watts.
ANW2 power levels are 5, 2, & 0.5 Watts even if mounted in a VAA. Above 512
MHz the amplifier is bypassed and only 5, 2, & 0.5 Watt power levels are
available.
USER TX POWER LEVEL is from 00 dB down from HIGH power to 10 dB
down from HIGH power. Some models may be 0 to 13 dB down. The USER
power levels do not apply to ANW2
