Lighting the Fire Tula direct vent stove

Elements
Completely open
secondary air
Open warming up slider
Pull secondary air
slider all the way out
Push warming up
slider upwards
Pile up any remaining ash
and unburned charcoal
into the centre of the
combustion chamber
Open fi re box door
Place 2-3 small logs into
the middle of the re box;
stack kindling/ignition
material and approx. 0.5 kg
of dry wood chips on top
Light the kindling/
ignition material.

More fuel should be added to the re when the fl ames from
the previous burning off phase have just gone out.
15.1 Adding Fuel / Heating at Nominal Thermal Output
Tula Standard
When the re is in its fi nal state, bring the fi re box in the
warming up position for approximately 5 to 10 minutes
(see g. 6 on previous page).
Afterwards put the secondary air slider in teh required
position.
