What to do if the HASE Gas Heater pilot won't stay lit?
    • C
      christy25Aug 21, 2025
If the pilot light on your HASE Gas Heater won't stay lit, begin by checking the gas pressure to ensure it's neither too low nor too high for the gas being used. Also, make sure that the thermocouple connection at the gas valve is tight. Faulty connections could also be the reason. To check this, measure the voltage between the valve body and the solder connection on the rear of the valve (where the blue wire connects); it should be no less than 7 mV. Lastly, a dirty or plugged pilot could be preventing the pilot from staying lit, so you may need to clean or replace the pilot assembly.

Why does smoke escape into the room while my HASE LUNO is in operation?
    • R
      Randall LambertAug 25, 2025
Smoke may escape into the room for several reasons: the air supply might be inadequate, the butterfly valve might be closed too tightly, the chimney cross section might be too narrow, the flue gas ducts in the stove pipe or chimney might be extremely sooty, wind might be blowing down on the chimney, or fans (bathroom, kitchen) might be creating negative pressure in the living room and drawing smoke from the stove.

Why does smoke escape when I open the fire box door of my HASE LUNO Wood stove?
    • S
      Stephen WashingtonAug 26, 2025
Smoke may escape when opening the fire box door because the chimney draught is too weak, the chimney cross section is too wide or too narrow, the fire is still burning too strongly, the fire box door was opened too quickly, fans (bathroom, kitchen) are creating negative pressure in the living room and drawing smoke from the stove, or the butterfly valve is closed.

Why does the wood in my HASE LUNO burn without a bright, yellow flame?
    • S
      Sabrina LopezAug 27, 2025
The wood may burn without a bright, yellow flame, smoulder, or even go out if the wood is too damp, the air supply is inadequate, the butterfly valve is closed too tightly, or the outside temperature is too high.

Why is my HASE LUNO Wood stove not getting warm even though the fire burns well?
    • R
      reedjonathanAug 30, 2025
If the stove does not get warm even though the fire burns well, the chimney draught might be too strong, or the air sliders are not in the correct position.

Why does my HASE LUNO Wood stove produce too much soot?
    • J
      Joel WallSep 1, 2025
Too much soot may be produced if the outside temperature is too high, the air supply is inadequate, or the quantity of wood is too small, causing the combustion chamber to remain too cold.

    Kathy ClarkSep 2, 2025
Why is my HASE Wood stove chimney wet and coated with creosote?
    • S
      Stephanie ManningSep 2, 2025
The chimney may become wet and coated with creosote, and condensate may leak out of the stove pipe if the wood is too damp, the flue gases are too cold, the chimney is too cold, or the chimney cross section is too wide.

    Steven RogersSep 4, 2025
Why does smoke escape into the room when my HASE Indoor Fireplace is on?
    • F
      feliciawilliamsSep 5, 2025
If smoke escapes into the room while your HASE Indoor Fireplace is in operation, several factors could be responsible. It might be due to an inadequate air supply, or the butterfly valve might be closed too tightly. Additionally, a chimney with a cross section that's too narrow could be the cause. Other potential issues include extremely sooty flue gas ducts in the stove pipe or chimney, wind blowing down on the chimney, or fans in the bathroom or kitchen creating negative pressure in the living room, which draws smoke from the stove.

Why does the wood burn so fast in my HASE Indoor Fireplace?
    • A
      Alexandria BrewerSep 7, 2025
If the wood in your HASE Indoor Fireplace is burning too quickly, it could be due to a strong chimney draught. Another reason might be that the wood logs are too small. Also, check if the control elements are positioned or set incorrectly.

Why does smoke come out when I open the HASE Indoor Fireplace door?
    • C
      Cheryl MendozaSep 8, 2025
If smoke escapes when you open the fire box door of your HASE Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to a weak chimney draught, or the chimney cross section being either too wide or too narrow. It's also possible that the fire is still burning too strongly, or the fire box door was opened too quickly. Additionally, fans in the bathroom or kitchen creating negative pressure in the living room could draw smoke from the stove.
