This document provides a comprehensive guide for the installation, usage, and maintenance of the Hayward LED Spotlight, a device specifically designed for use in swimming pools and fountains. It emphasizes safety precautions, technical specifications, and operational procedures to ensure proper functioning and user safety.
Function Description
The Hayward LED Spotlight is a Class III device with an IP68 rating, indicating its suitability for continuous immersion in water up to 1 meter. It operates on a very low safety supply voltage of 12 VAC or 20 VDC. The primary function of the spotlight is to illuminate swimming pools, offering both white light and RGB color options depending on the model. The RGB models feature 16 programs, including 11 fixed colors and 5 automatic ambiance settings, controllable via a 433 MHz radio remote control or by quickly cycling the power. The spotlight is designed to direct light away from the house or patio to avoid intrusive light levels.

Usage Features
The LED spotlight is designed for user-friendly operation, especially the RGB models with their remote control capabilities.
- Remote Control (RGB Models):
- On/Off (O): Power on/standby.
- Colors (C): Access to 11 fixed colors.
- Programs (P): Access to 5 automatic ambiance programs.
- Synchro (S): Synchronizes multiple luminaires.
- Power Cycling (RGB Models): A quick power interruption (less than 3 seconds) advances to the next program. If power is interrupted for more than 15 seconds, the lamp will revert to the last used program.
- Synchronization (Multiple Installations): For multiple luminaires, synchronization is achieved by a specific power cycling sequence: OFF >20s + ON 3-5s + OFF 3-5s + ON.
- Remote Control Range: The remote control should be used facing the lamp, at a maximum distance of 10 meters. Metal near the spotlight or deep immersion may reduce the effective range to 1-2 meters.
- Initial Setup: The remote control requires pairing with its integrated receiver upon first use.
Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the Hayward LED Spotlight.
- Genuine Spare Parts: Only genuine Hayward spare parts should be used for replacements.
- Bulb Replacement: The bulb must be replaced out of the water. The light source should only be replaced by the manufacturer, their maintenance agent, or an equivalently qualified person.
- Sealing Components: When replacing the bulb and/or cable, it is recommended to replace all parts ensuring watertightness, including the seal and sealing elements, ensuring they are correctly positioned.
- Damaged Cable: If the power cable or sheath is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service center, or a qualified technician to prevent hazards. The cable must meet H05RN-F specifications with a minimum cross-section of 2x1.5mm².
- LED Unit Replacement: In case of malfunction, the entire LED lamp must be replaced. Do not attempt to open or repair the lamp.
- End-of-Life Disposal: The product, including bulbs and remote control, must be disposed of separately from household waste at designated collection points for electrical and electronic equipment. This ensures environmental protection and resource conservation.
