Detail 5A
Refer to Detail 5A and Pictorial 5 for the following
stepg.
{ Install 6-32 spade bolts on the power supply
shield at the locations shown. Use 6-32 x 1/4”
/hardware. Position the offset in each spade bolt
as shown.
(V) Install the power supply shield on the RF
shield, using 6-32 x 1/4” hardware.
Refer to Pictorial 5 for the following steps.

( Position the chassis as shown and fit the RF and
power supply shield assembly down on the
chassis. Be sure to position the red and red-
yellow power transformer leads in the notch of
the power supply shield. Note: You may have to
push the RF shield slightly towards the front of
the Amplifier to fit the lip on the shield under
the front mounting bracket of the “Tune”
capacitor.

Secure the RF shield to the chassis. Use 6-32 x
1/4” hardware at all holes indicated by the ar-
rows, with a #6 solder lug at K and M.
Install a 6-lug terminal strip at N and a 5-lug
terminal strip at Q, using 6-32 < 3/8” hardware.
It will be easier to perform this step if the chas-
sis is tipped up on the side next to the trans-
former. If available, use a magnetized screw-
driver to start screws in the hard-to-reach loca-
tions.
Secure the power supply shield to the chassis,
using 6-32 x 1/4” hardware in the holes indi-
cated by the arrows, and #6 lockwashers and
6-32 nuts on the spade bolts with a 2-lug termi-
nal strip at J.
