Overview

This document describes the HEINNER Condenser Dryer, model HCD-V802B, an appliance designed for drying laundry.

Usage Features

The dryer features a control panel with a program selection knob and electronic indicator functions.

Program Selection: The program selection knob allows users to choose from various drying programs tailored for different fabrics and desired dryness levels:

  • Cotton extra dry: For very dry cotton items like towels, bedsheets, and pillowcases.

Installation: The dryer should be installed on a stable and flat surface. It can be placed on top of a washing machine if the washing machine has the same capacity and above, and if a stacking kit is used. Proper ventilation is crucial, and the dryer should not be placed in a dust-free environment. The water discharge hose can be connected to a drain or the water tank must be emptied manually. The appliance requires a 220-240 V, 50 Hz electrical connection with a 16 Ampere fuse.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is essential for the dryer's optimal performance and longevity.

Cleaning the Lint Filter: The lint filter should be cleaned after every program.

  1. Open the loading door.
  2. Pull up the lint filter to remove it.
  3. Use hands or a soft cloth to clean the lint.
  4. Close and refit the lint filter. If a layer of lint accumulates on the filter surface, wash the filter with warm water and clean the layer. Dry the filter thoroughly before reinstalling it.

Emptying the Water Tank: The water tank needs to be emptied after every program.

  1. Pull the drawer cover and carefully take out the tank.
  2. Empty the water in the tank.
  3. If there is lint accumulated on the discharge cap in the tank, clean it with water.
  4. Refit the water tank. The water condensed in the water tank is not suitable for human consumption.

Cleaning the Condenser: The condenser should be cleaned after every 30 drying processes or once a month.

  1. Open the loading door and wait for it to cool down.
  2. Open the plinth and release the 2 cover locks of the condenser.
  3. Hold the condenser by the plastic part and pull it out.
  4. Clean it with a showerhead and wait for the water to drain off.
  5. Fully insert the condenser into its seat and lock the 2 locks.
  6. Close the plinth cover.

Cleaning the Humidity Sensor: The humidity sensors, located inside the machine, should be cleaned 4 times a year.

  1. Open the loading door.
  2. If the machine is still hot, wait for it to cool down.
  3. Using a soft cloth soaked in vinegar, wipe the metal surfaces of the sensor and dry them.

Cleaning the Inner Surface of the Loading Door: The inner surface of the loading door and the gasket should be cleaned after each drying process using a soft, damp cloth. Do not use metal tools to clean the metal surfaces of the sensor.

Troubleshooting: The manual includes a comprehensive troubleshooting section with common problems, their reasons, and solutions, such as:

  • Drying process takes a long time: May be due to a clogged lint filter, clogged condenser, blocked ventilation grills, or an overloaded dryer. Solutions include cleaning filters, opening windows, and not overloading.
  • Laundry comes out damp: Similar reasons as above, plus incorrect program selection.
  • Dryer not opening/program not starting: Check if the plug is fitted, door is closed, program is set, or child lock is active.
  • Water leaking from loading door: May be due to lint accumulation on inner surfaces of the door or gasket.
  • Water tank warning symbol on/flashing: Water tank is full or discharge hose is bent.
  • Condenser cleaning warning symbol on: Condenser is unclean.
  • Lint filter cleaning warning symbol on: Lint filter is unclean or filter seat is clogged.
  • Program not starting/LEDs blinking: Filter and condenser warning LEDs blinking, or filter/condenser are placed incorrectly.

Automatic Faults: The dryer is equipped with a built-in fault detection system. Error codes (E03, E04, E05, E06, E08) indicate specific issues, mostly requiring contact with an authorised service agent, except for E03 (empty water tank) and E08 (voltage fluctuation).

Environmental Protection: The product complies with EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) and should be disposed of at an appropriate waste disposal center.
