6 Using the application tool
CAUTION
There is a risk of injury when pulling the trigger and tightening the cable tie, or when using unsuitable
cable ties.
f Always use safety glasses during work.
f When pulling the trigger, make sure that no limbs are between the hand lever and handle.
f When working above head level, attach a safety cord to the hanging loop at the bottom of the handle.
f Use only HellermannTyton nylon cable ties.
f If necessary, attach a retaining strap to the hanging loop 6 (Figure A).
f Set the desired tension force (see section "Pulling force").
f Wrap the cable tie
1 (Figure B) around the cable bundle.
f Pull the strap end
2 of the cable tie through the head 3 of the cable tie.
f Tighten the cable tie by hand so that the cable tie rests tightly against the cable bundle.
f Push the open end of the nose piece
1 (Figure A) over the end of the strap.
f Place the front of the nose piece at a right angle and flush to the head of the cable tie.
f Keep pressing the trigger
7 until the end of the strap is cut off.
