7.4 Setting the tension force using the quick adjustment
The tension force can also be adjusted using the quick adjustment (Figures
I and J ). The quick
adjustment can set the tension force at three levels.
Example: Begin with the adjustment of the dial in position 1, then the following positions 4 and
7.
f Turn the adjustment dial
1 (Figure I ), without actuating the thumb lever, to set the required
tension force.
f Read the set tension force on the tension force scale of the adjustment dial
1 (Figure J ).
7.5 Fine adjustment of the tension force using the CALTOOL
Fine or readjustment is possible using the accessory part CALTOOL. The factory setting (Setting
0-8) is changed (see table in "Setting the tension force using the adjustment dial").
f Insert the wide side of the CALTOOL
2 (Figure E ) in the three recesses of the adjustment dial 1 .
f Dial the CALTOOL anti-clockwise to undo the cap.
f Remove the cap from the adjustment dial.
f Insert the narrow side of the CALTOOL
2 (Figure F ) into the adjustment unit 1 .
Both tips of the CALTOOL must engage in the recesses of the adjustment unit.
f Turn the CALTOOL clockwise to increase the tension force or counter-clockwise to reduce the
tension force.
f Replace the cap back.
f Turn the CALTOOL clockwise to tighten the cap.
8 Maintenance
The application tool is largely maintenance-free.
9 Repairs
NOTE
The application tool can be damaged when opening the housing, making changes to the components or if
repairs are carried out incorrectly.
f Tool only to be repaired by authorised personnel.
Repair work must only be carried out by the manufacturer or persons authorised by the
manufacturer. This also includes opening the application tool and changing components or
functions.
