Appendix 5 Waveform File Size
A15
Appendix
The file size can be obtained with the following formula.
File size = text header size + binary header size + data size
Each of these sizes differs depending on the function and envelope setting.
Text header:
512 (bytes) * (number of analog channels x 2 + number of logic channels + 2)
(number of headers) = 4096 (bytes)
Binary header:
512 (bytes) 12 (number of headers) = 6144 (bytes)
Data portion: [(number of analog channels) + (logic data)] number of data 2
(bytes)
Waveform Judgment data portion: 4608 (bytes)
Example:
When saving the waveforms of 15 divisions (1,501 data) on all channels
4096 + 6144 + (4+1) 1501 2 = 25250 (bytes)
When saving the waveforms of 15 divisions (1,501 data) on all channels (Waveform
Judgment Trigger)
4096 + 6144 + (4+1) 1501 2 + 4608 = 29858 (bytes)
Text header:
512 (bytes) (number of analog channels x 2 + number of logic channels +
2)(number of headers) = 6144 (bytes)
Binary header:
512 (bytes)12 (number of headers) = 6144 (bytes)
Data portion (When Envelope is set to Off)
[(number of analog channels) + (logic data)] number of data 2 (bytes)
Data portion (When Envelope is set to On)
[(number of analog channels) + (logic data)] number of data 2 (bytes) 2
Example:
When saving in envelope On format for 10,001 data on all channels.
6144 + 6144 + (4+1)1000122 = 212308 (bytes)
