Why is my Hitachi DZ-BX31E battery not charging?
    • L
      Laura JensenAug 15, 2025
Your Hitachi Camcorder battery might not be charging because the ambient temperature is too low or too high. Try charging the battery at a temperature between 10 and 30 degrees Celsius. Also, if the battery is abnormally hot, remove it and let it cool down before charging. Ensure the DC power cord is not connected to the AC adapter/charger. If the battery has been unused for a long time, remove and reattach it; if it still doesn't charge, it may be dead, and you might need to purchase a new one.

What to do if the CHARGE indicator is blinking on my Hitachi DZ-BX31E AC adapter?
    • E
      Elizabeth BennettAug 18, 2025
If the CHARGE indicator on the AC adapter of your Hitachi Camcorder is blinking, it could be due to the ambient temperature being too low or too high. Charge the battery in an environment where the temperature is between 10 and 30 degrees Celsius. The battery may have also discharged excessively. Continue charging; after a while, the battery should charge to the specified voltage, and the CHARGE indicator will light up.

Why does my Hitachi Camcorder power go off unexpectedly?
    • R
      Richard LopezAug 22, 2025
Your Hitachi Camcorder might be turning off unexpectedly because the Power Save feature is set to “On.” When Power Save is on, the camcorder will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save battery. To prevent this, set the power switch to “OFF” and then back to “!”. Alternatively, you can disable the automatic power off by specifying “Power Save: Off” in the settings.

Why does my Hitachi DZ-BX31E battery weaken so fast?
    • S
      Spencer Larson DDSAug 26, 2025
If you're using the Hitachi Camcorder in a low-temperature environment, the battery may weaken quickly. Keeping extra batteries on hand is a good solution. Also, the battery may be dead, so consider purchasing a new battery.
