Why is the CHARGE indicator blinking on my Hitachi DZ-BX35A charger?
    • M
      michellejonesAug 19, 2025
If the CHARGE indicator on your Hitachi Camcorder AC adapter/charger is blinking, it could be due to the ambient temperature being too low or too high. Charge the battery in an environment where the temperature is 50 – 86ºF (10 – 30ºC). The battery may have excessively discharged; continue charging, and after a while, the battery will charge to the specified voltage, and the CHARGE indicator will light.

How to fix Hitachi DZ-BX35A battery not charging?
    • D
      Danielle BergAug 21, 2025
If your Hitachi Camcorder battery isn't charging, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the ambient temperature is between 50 – 86ºF (10 – 30ºC). If the battery is too hot, remove it and let it cool before charging. Also, unplug the DC power cord from the AC adapter/charger during troubleshooting. If the battery has been unused for a long time, remove and reattach it; if it still doesn't charge, it may need replacing.

Why does my Hitachi Camcorder power off automatically?
    • R
      Ronald YatesAug 23, 2025
Your Hitachi Camcorder might be turning off unexpectedly because the Power Save feature is enabled. If the camcorder is left for 5 minutes without recording or playback while “Power Save: On” is specified, it will automatically turn off to save battery. To prevent this, set the power switch to “OFF” and then to “O”, or specify “Power Save: Off” in the settings.

Why does the Hitachi DZ-BX35A Camcorder battery drain so fast?
    • D
      Daniel SimsAug 26, 2025
If your Hitachi Camcorder battery is weakening quickly, especially in low temperatures, keep extra batteries on hand. It's also possible that the battery is old and needs replacing, so consider purchasing a new battery.

      alicia71Aug 28, 2025

      Yvonne SandovalAug 30, 2025

How to fix incorrect focus on Hitachi Camcorder?
    • L
      lisaconwaySep 1, 2025
If the focus on your Hitachi Camcorder isn't correct, try focusing manually if autofocus is difficult with your subject. Check if “MF” appears, indicating manual focus is enabled; focus manually or release manual focus. If using the viewfinder, adjust the diopter control. Otherwise, try setting the power switch to “OFF” and then back to “O”, “N” or “P”.

Why does my Hitachi DZ-BX35A Camcorder recording start and stop right away?
    • C
      Cody MaynardSep 3, 2025
If your Hitachi Camcorder recording starts but stops immediately, the disc may be scratched or have dirt/fingerprints on it. Clean the disc, and if the problem persists, replace it. Also, if another AV device is connected to the camcorder's video/audio input/output jack via multiple devices, try reducing the number of devices or connecting the AV device directly.

Why won't my Hitachi DZ-BX35A record when I press REC or PHOTO?
    • L
      Lynn PhillipsSep 7, 2025
If pressing the REC or PHOTO button on your Hitachi Camcorder doesn't start recording, make sure the power switch is set to match the recording medium. When using a DVD-RAM disc or SD memory card, set it to “P”.
