In case of PS-38, overhang of the tone arm is 15mm.
Adjust it by moving the cartridge back and forth after |
loosening the cartridge fixing screw. Overhang

2. Tracking force adjustment
The tracking force adjustment should be done before
playing. The tracking force must be adjusted to the
recommended value as shown on the instruction
-sheetofthe cartridge, 2 —
(1) Rotate the balance weight @ until the tone pac:
arm is balanced evenly.
(2) When the tone arm is balanced evenly turn
the scale ring @ alone until the “O” on
the scale ring of the balance weight is set over Scale ring @)
the indication line. The tone arm is now set
at zero gram.
(3) Turn the balance weight @ slowly until the
indication line comes to the specified force.
The stylus tip will then be adjusted to the
desired tracking force. (Fig. 3)

Match the anti-skating dial to the indicated line in

Adjustment of cueing height
To adjust the height of the stylus tip when using the
cueing facility, loosen the screw of the cueing
mechanism shown in Fig. 3.
Adjust the height of the cueing so that the distance
between the stylus tip and record is between 4—7 mm
when a record is placed on the platter. After the
adjustment, tighten the screw securely.

5. Pitch control
When the stripes of the stroboscope flow in one
direction and do not stop, and the rated speed cannot
be obtained by turning the pitch control knob,
it can be adjusted by using the semi-fixed resistor
(for 33-1/3 and 45 rpm) on the printed wiring board
at the bottom of the motor with the cabinet base
board removed. ,
(1) Position the power source/speed change-over
lever to 33 or 45.
