Usage Features
Auto Restart Control:
- Automatically restarts operation with previous mode and airflow direction after a power failure.
- Not available when Timer or Sleep Timer mode is set.
Automatic Operation:
- Automatically determines heating or cooling mode based on initial room temperature.
- Mode may change if room temperature varies.
Heating Operation:
- Recommended for outdoor temperatures under 21°C.
- Heating function may not work above 21°C to protect the device.
- Operate above -15°C outdoor temperature for reliability.
- Defrosting occurs about once an hour when frost forms on the outdoor unit, lasting 5-10 minutes.
Cooling Operation:
- Recommended for outdoor temperatures between -10°C and 42°C.
- High indoor humidity (over 80%) may cause dew on the indoor unit's air outlet grill.
Dehumidifying Operation:
- Operates when room temperature is over 16°C.
- Dehumidifying function will not work below 15°C.
- Target temperature is slightly lower than the room temperature setting (16°C for a 16°C setting).
Air Purifier Operation (FAN):
- Operated by pressing the AIR PURIFIER button.
- Fan speed can be adjusted (HI, MED, LOW, SILENT).
- Power of the air purifier increases with higher air conditioner fan speed.
Fan Operation:
- Can be used as an air circulator to dry the indoor unit.
- Fan speed can be set to AUTO, HI, MED, LOW, SILENT.
- In AUTO mode, fan speed adjusts based on discharged air temperature.
Two Way Air Exchange Operation:
- Operates fresh air in and exhaust functions.
- Can be combined with air conditioning operation.
- Not recommended for simultaneous fresh air in and exhaust operation.
- Fresh Air In: Does not operate if outdoor temperature is extreme (above 30°C or below 3°C) or if temperature difference between indoor/outdoor is too large (above 7°C for cooling, above 22°C for heating) to prevent dew condensation or save energy.
- Exhaust: Does not operate if room temperature is above 43°C to protect the fan.
- Abnormal Fan: If the "Two Way Air Exchange" lamp blinks (4 seconds on, 1 second off), the fan is abnormal.
Sleep Timer:
- Selectable for 1, 2, 3, or 7 hours.
- "7 hrs. Monitoring" mode stops cooling/dehumidifying after 3 hours, then monitors room temperature for 4 hours, operating/stopping repeatedly.
- For heating, "7 hrs. Monitoring" restarts if room temperature falls by 4-5°C.
- Fan speed is set to SILENT during sleep operation.
Adjusting Air Deflectors:
- Horizontal air deflector automatically sets to the proper angle or can be adjusted with the AUTO SWING button.
- Vertical air deflectors are adjusted manually by hand.
Safety Precautions:
- Disconnect power before disassembly or repair.
- Use genuine parts for replacement.
- Ensure proper grounding.
- Do not place inflammable objects near the unit.
- Avoid direct air flow for extended periods for health.
- Do not reconstruct the unit or install it yourself.
- Use specified piping set for R410A.
- Install a circuit breaker.
- Do not install near flammable gas.
- Ensure smooth drain hose flow.
- Use a single phase 230V power source.
- During operation, regularly ventilate the room when using burning equipment.
- Do not wash the unit with water or place water containers on it.
- Do not climb on the outdoor unit.
- Do not touch air outlet, bottom surface, or aluminum fin of the outdoor unit.
- Do not touch refrigerant pipe and connecting valve (risk of burns).
- Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
Maintenance Features
Regular Cleaning:
- Deep cleaning of two-way air exchange duct filters (Fresh Air In Pre-Filter, Exhaust Pre-Filter, Nano-Titanium Disinfecting Deodorizing/Dust Collecting Fresh Air In Filter) is recommended regularly.
- Check filters every 2 weeks if Fresh Air In operation is used often.
- Fresh Air In Pre-Filter: Wash with water, allow to drip dry. Use lukewarm water (max 40°C) for stubborn dirt.
- Nano-Titanium Disinfecting Deodorizing/Dust Collecting Fresh Air In Filter: Wash and dry in shade every 3 months. Replace every 3 years.
- Exhaust Pre-Filter: Wash with water, allow to drip dry.
- Front Panel and Top Grill: Remove and wash with clean water and a soft sponge. Wipe with a soft dry cloth.
Long Off Period Maintenance:
- Run the unit in FAN mode (HI speed) for about half a day on a fine day to dry the unit.
- Switch off power plug or circuit breaker.
Battery Exchange (Remote Controller):
- Remove cover, replace old batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Do not mix new and old batteries or different kinds.
- Remove batteries if not using the remote controller for 2-3 months.
Address Changing Switch:
- Used to avoid interference between remote controllers when two indoor units are in the same room.
- Normally set to "A" from the factory.
Self Clean Operation:
- Automatically performs self-clean after cooling and dehumidifying to suppress mold.
- Recommended when utilizing fresh air in operation to dry the two-way air exchange fan and hose.
- Operates for about one hour and then stops automatically.
- Does not perform if cooling/dehumidifying operation is less than 1 hour.
Automatic Two Way Air Exchange Operation:
- Detects dirty air and automatically operates exhaust and fresh air in.
- Exhaust operates for at least 20 minutes after dirt detection, even if a window is opened.
- If the room air is dirty, exhaust operation may not perform for 5 minutes.
Dirt Sensor Sensitivity:
- Adjustable to 7 levels (+3 to -3).
- Adjusted using the Room Temperature button while the unit is stopped.
Self-Diagnosis Memory Function:
- Displays diagnosed failure modes stored in non-volatile memory via remote controller.
- Effective for checking failure modes when power was turned off or operation restarted without checking lamp blinking frequency.
- Stores the past 5 failure modes.
- Failure modes with low occurrence frequency are also stored.
- Memory can be cleared.
