10.4 Protection and Safety Control
Compressor Protection
The compressor is protected by the following
devices and their combinations.
High Pressure Switch - This switch cuts out the
operation of the compressor when the discharge
pressure exceeds the setting.
Crankcase Heater - This band type heater protects
against oil Carry-over during cold starting, as it is
energized while the compressor is stopped.
Chip Ceramic
PTC Thermistor (POSISTOR

) in the DC fan
motor controls the fan motor revolution when the
fan motor internal temperature exceeds the setting.
