ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
PRODUCT SHIELD — KIT NO. 875163
This kit is used on Hobart slicer models 2912 (ML-104838) and 2912SC (ML-104839) that are marked
CE. The Product Shield in this kit is shipped separate from the slicer and must be assembled during
installation according to the following instructions.

WARNING: DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER.
Read MSDS sheet. Read and follow directions on sealant
container. Avoid eye contact with sealant.
1. Apply sealant completely around rectangular mounting
area of Product Shield and around all three screw holes
(Fig. 1). Replace cap on sealant container.
2. Within 5 minutes of applying the sealant, place the
rectangular mounting area
of the Product Shield over
the three weld-nuts on the
front of the Carriage Tray so
all three screw holes are
aligned (Fig. 2).
3. Complete the assembly by
threading the three Phillips
head machine screws into
the three screw holes
(Fig. 3). Tighten the screws.
4. Wipe off excess sealant with
a moistened paper towel (Fig. 4). Discard paper towel.
Wash hands with soap and water to rid them of any
sealant. Allow 24 hours for sealant to cure before using
the slicer.
