11.3 Care
Cleaning the exterior
Thevehicleshouldnotbewashedmoreoftenthannecessary.
Washthevehicleonlyinplacesprovidedforthispurpose.
Usingcleaningmaterialssparingly.Aggressivecleansers,
suchaswheelrimcleaners,damagetheenvironment.
The following applies when cleaning the exterior:
• Rinsethevehiclewithaweakjetofwater.
• Wash the vehicle with a soft sponge and a commercial
shampoosolution.Rinsethespongeoften.
• Thenrinsewithagenerousamountofwater.
• Drythevehiclewithasuedecloth.
• Afterwashingthevehicle,leaveitstandingoutsidetodry
offcompletely.
Drytheheadlightsandsocketsthoroughly,aswatercollects
thereeasily.
Onlywashthevehicleatsitesdesignatedforthispur-
pose.Avoiddirectexposuretosunlightandadhereto
environmental protection measures.
Donotusecleaningagentscontainingsolvents.
Washing with a high pressure cleaner
Donotspraystickersandexternaldecorsdirectlywiththe
highpressurecleanerastheycouldpeelawayasaresult.
Beforewashingthemotorhomewithahighpressurecleaner,
studyitsoperatingmanualcarefully.Duringwashingmaintain
a minimum distance of 700 mm between the motor home
andthehighpressurecleaner.Pleasenotethatthewaterjet
isunderpressurewhenitcomesoutofthecleaningnozzle.
Incorrecthandlingofthehighpressurecleanercanresultin
damagetothemotorhome.Thewatertemperatureshould
notexceed60°C.Keepthewaterjetmovingwhilewashing.
Thejetshouldnotbepointeddirectlyatgapsarounddoors;
gapsaroundwindows;acrylicwindows;electricattachments;
theexhaustchimney;refrigeratorgrille;connectors;seals;
serviceapsorskylightsasthiscoulddamagethevehicleor
resultinwaterpenetratinginsidethevehicle.
