Engine Coolant
Temperature Gauge
Engine coolant temperature
gauge (A), shows temperature of
the engine coolant when the ignition
is on (C = cold, H = hot).
If the needle moves all the way
to H:

Stop the vehicle as soon as it is
safe to do so. See Engine
Overheating on page 10‑10.
The gauge reading can move
towards H under the following
conditions:

Stop-start driving
.
High speed driving in warm
weather
.
Hill climbing
.
Tow in g
This is normal.

instrument panel.
They show as illuminated icons and/
or animations.
A chime sounds with most warning
lights and reminders.
Note: Press TRIP or the ENTER
button to clear animations and
revert to the original trip comput er
display.
Seatbelt Reminders
Driver’s seat
If the driver’s s eatbelt is not
fastened when the ignition is turned
to the ON or START position:

The > warning light illuminates.
If the driver’s s eatbelt is not
fastened and the vehicle speed
reaches 25 km/h:
.
The > warning light flashes.
.
The chime sounds.
Fasten the driver’s seatbelt to clear
the reminder.
Passenger’s seat
If the front passenger ’s seatbelt is
not fastened when the igniti on is
turned to the ON or START position:

The C warning light illuminates.
If the front passenger ’s seatbelt is
not fastened and the vehicle speed
reaches 25 km/h:
.
The C warning light flashes.
