Brake fl uid
(Automatic transmission)
Warning
Brake fl uid is poisonous and
corrosive and will damage the
paint fi nish of the vehicle if spilt.
Checking the brake fl uid level
Check the brake fl uid level weekly.
The level should be between the
MIN and MAX area.
If the fl uid level is correct, do not
remove the reservoir cap, as brake
fl uid exposed to the atmosphere will
quickly absorb moisture.
Adding brake fl uid
Use heavy duty brake fl uid. See
Recommended fl uids, lubricants and
parts on page 319 .
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Wipe the sides of the cap clean.
3. Rotate anticlockwise to remove.
4. Top up with heavy duty
brake fl uid.
Warning
Use only new brake fl uid. Use of
old, used or inferior brake fl uid
may endanger the functioning of
the brake system.
5. Secure the cap and clean up any
spilt fl uid.
If the brake fl uid requires regular
topping up, contact a Holden Dealer
immediately.

Checking the clutch/brake
fl uid level
Check the clutch/brake fl uid
reservoir weekly.
