(A), shows temperature of the
engine coolant when the ignition is
on (C = cold, H = hot).
If the needle moves all the way to H
and remains there for longer than
30 seconds:
• Stop the vehicle as soon as it
is safe to do so. See Engine
overheating on page 262 .
The gauge reading can move
towards H under the following
conditions:
• Stop-start driving
• High speed driving in warm
weather
• Hill climbing
• Towing
This is normal.
