Possible cause Solution
The tool is not connected properly. Check the couplers. If necessary, clean the
couplers and connect them again.
The pressure relief valve on the pump is in the
"neutral" position.
Turn the pressure relief valve screw counter
clockwise as far as it can go ("operation" position).
Possible cause Solution
There is pressure in the hose or the tool. Use the pressure relief tool to release the pressure
from the hose. Refer to section 5.8.
The couplers are dirty. Clean the couplers.
Possible cause Solution
There is pressure on the hose from the tool. Relieve the pressure. Refer to section 5.9.
Possible cause Solution
There is too much hydraulic oil in the tank. • Make sure the pump is in a horizontal position.
• Drain hydraulic oil until the level is at the
maximum level indication on the dipstick.
The oil is foaming. Stop the pump. Start the pump again after a few
minutes.
Possible cause Solution
The temperature of the pump is close to the
overheating point.
Turn the deadman’s handle of the tool to the
neutral position. If possible, open and close the
tool one time.
Possible cause Solution
There is not enough hydraulic oil in the tank. • Make sure the pump is in a horizontal position.
• Add hydraulic oil until the level is at the
maximum level indication on the dipstick.
• Do not add hydraulic oil after changing tools
that have the plunger extended.
The oil is foaming. Stop the pump. Start the pump again after a few
minutes.
