Contraindications
Never use this device over any suspicious or cancerous lesion. Using the device over cancerous
or other type of lesion can result in delaying the best medical treatment. Typical characteristics of
potentially cancerous lesions include:
Asymmetry: one half of the abnormal skin area is different than the other half
Borders: irregular borders
Colour: varies from one area to another with shades of tan, brown, or black (sometimes white,
red, blue)
Diameter: usually (but not always) larger than 6 mm in size (diameter of a pencil eraser)
Bleeding: Any skin growth that bleeds or will not heal
Do not use if you have a history of light triggered seizures.
It is recommended that you test a small less sensitive patch of skin (i.e., like your forearm).
Light sensitivity test
Follow these instructions to see if you are sensitive to light:
1. Press the orange power button.
2. Place the device on an area of the forearm (as in the
diagram to the right). Leave in contact for the full 3 minute
treatment cycle.
3. Press the orange power button again to do another 3 minute
treatment on the same area of your inner arm.
4. Wait 24 hours. You should NOT experience any adverse
reaction during the next 24 hours.
An adverse reaction is pain or discomfort in the treatment areas
or any prolonged skin redness.
