  If your Homelite Portable Generator engine lacks power, it could be due to a clogged fuel element. Check the air filter element and clean or replace it as needed. Also, the engine might have been stored without treating or draining gasoline, or refueled with bad gasoline. In this case, drain the fuel and carburetor, then refuel with fresh gasoline.
