Oi l Filt er
A centr ifugal type o il filter is employ ed.
This type filt er se parates all impuritie s and
metal chips from the o il by cent ri fu ga l
force, thu s perm i tting on ly highly purified
oi l to come in contact with the mov ing
parts
of the engine.
· 1. The oil filter <D is accessible by re-
mov ing the oil filter cove r ® on th e
crankca se cover ri ght side. A small

amount of oil will flow when the filter
is removed.
3. Wash the oi l filter cap and the oil fi lter
with solvent or gaso li ne.
4. When assembling the oil filter cap to
the oil fi lter rotor , make su re t hat the
rib of the cap fits into the gr oov e of

5. When installing the oil filter cover on
the right crankcase cover, make sure
that the
oil ho le in the crankcase
cover and the matching ho le in the oil
fi
lt er cover are in alignment.
