If your Honda Motorcycle has poor performance at low and unstable idle speed, check if the air cleaner is over-oiled. Also, check for a loose insulator clamp or a damaged insulator that may be leaking. Ensure the carburetor jets and accelerator pump are cleaned frequently enough. A faulty throttle position sensor, a faulty, carbon or wet fouled spark plug, a worn ring or a worn or damaged cylinder can also cause this problem. If the fuel-air mixture is too lean, turn the pilot screw out. If the fuel-air mixture is too rich, turn the pilot screw in.
